Wedding Photography from Cave Castle Hotel, East Yorkshire

Just before Christmas we photographed the wedding of Nicola and Stewart. I say it time and again but they really were a great couple, really relaxed and easy going which makes taking the wedding photographs an absolute pleasure.  The wedding was at a Church in Goxhill, just south of the Humber and the reception was at Cave Castle Hotel in South Cave, so we had a couple of trips over the Humber bridge which was pretty cool.  All the key players were really nice folk and Nic looked absolutely stunning, again making our job easier.
The conditions were pretty good considering it was mid to late December, zero rain, however the temperature was more akin to Svalbard than Yorkshire, it was freezing!  As it was a North/South wedding and the brides side had all travelled up from London, I thought I’d test their metal so to speak by doing a few group shots outside, this soon backfired as I found myself laying front down in the snow with my shirt not offering the best in terms of insulation!  Both Nicola and Stewart braved the cold spectacularly in the last moments of light to get some great photos in the snow, they were both absolute stars.  I think the cold was a double shock for the couple as they have been living out in Dubai for the last couple of years!
