We recently had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at the fantastic Bolton Abbey and the equally fantastic Devonshire Arms. Melissa and Ryan were a great couple, really down to earth, the type of clients we love. We weather was a little tempremental with pretty strong gusts of wind and sparodic downpours but we took our chances when we could and got some shots around Bolton Abbey with some informal photography at the Devonshire Arms. The veil worked well in the breeze but it was a bit of a balancing act keeping it under control, Ryan stepped up and did an excellent job with the veil management! We finished as the guest sat down, the best man had set some envelopes up to be opened during the speech, we were quite intrigued to find out what was inside but resisted having a peek. The staff at the Devonshire were great although I think the brides room where we did some bridal preparation shots was one of the hottest I’ve ever been in! All in all a great day and it was a privilage to be chosen to cover it.
