A quick wedding post this afternoon about one of my favourite wedding planner/blogger sites. Boho Weddings and Events is run by Kelly and based in Sheffield. To say she is into her weddings would be a bit of an understatement! She is always tweeting and blogging about anything related to planning a wedding and has a really down to earth, informal style which I love. She features anything cool and quirky connected to weddings and offers great advice to anyone looking into planning their wedding. I’m always checking it out to keep up with trends in the wedding industry but I have been on it a bit more avidly since I am now approaching weddings from a customers point of view as I recently proposed to my long suffering girlfriend during a recent visit to Scotland (previous post).
Read MoreI went out to grab a couple of local landscape photos last night as the sun looked like it was going to light the land quite nicely. There was not much in the way of clouds so I knew it wasn’t going to be a spectacular sunset but I thought I could perhaps get something, plus its nice to just get out and about at that time of the day, unless of course you get attacked by pollen and start sneezing until someone mistake you for the girl from the exorcist! This isn’t really aimed at experienced pros but more enthusiasts interested to know how I get my shots. All photographers have varying methods and this is by no means the only way to achieve good landscape photographs. I am a canon shooter and although I don’t plan on getting overly technical please be aware that other camera brands may have different knobs and dials! More stuff after the jump

Read MoreHi folks, thought I would post a Photography tutorial about using off camera flash, I have got a wedding photography post to do but have been meaning to do this for a while so thought I would get to it. My models for this tutorial were the two Danbos (Big Dan and Little Dan), they are a photogenic couple, not overly talkative but Consummate professionals, they get the job done. This is the finished shot but I’ll post some setup shots and how I got to the finished article, after the jump.
Read MoreNo photos to post today so I feel a bit stingy but the weather has been pretty shocking of late, we were a bit spoilt with all the snow and clear blue skies last week! So I thought I’d write a little bit about some of the sources I use for inspiration when I can’t …
