Wedding Photography from York

Another wedding at the fantastic Sandburn Hall near York a few weeks back. We have been away on holiday so there has been a slight delay in processing these ones! Louise and Andy had had us booked for quite a while after we got a shot of Louise at someone else’s wedding we were photographing a few years back (who incidentally we saw at another wedding we were photographing last weekend). If you are still with me after that, good! Andy and Louise are a great couple, really fun to photograph and it was a pleasure to be involved in their day.

Natural Wedding Photography at Sandburn Hall

We were out at York at Sandburn Hall again at the weekend for the stunningly beautiful wedding of Kate and Scott.  Lots of touches we liked at this wedding as it had a lovely rustic theme, very relaxed and informal which we love!  We did a bit of bridal preparation shots at the lodges nearby before heading to Sandburn for the ceremony.  Kate and Scott had got an awesome VW camper for the wedding car which just looked fantastic, great for wedding photos!  Loads of effort had been put into the decorations, centrepieces and table plan and Sandburn had put up a whole load of fairy lights that looked great.  Unfortunately we only stayed until the weeding breakfast but the hall will have looked fantastic with all the little lights when the sun had gone down.  The pork pie wedding cake (amongst others) and the ice cream man were also great to see!

Wedding photography at Mirfield Monastery

I have neglected my blog a little recently due to the fairly high volume of wedding photos I have been getting through and sending out to clients to keep on top of things.  Unfortunately I have to make this a pretty quick write up of a beautiful wedding we photographed at the Monastery in Mirfield.  My wife (and regular assistant) Carol was ill for this wedding so I had to draft in a good friend Sam (who incidentally photographed our wedding) to help out.  Hannah and Michael were very relaxed and a joy to photograph, especially in this beautiful summer sun we have been having recently and the grounds at the monastery were fantastic.  I can’t post a lot of the photos from this wedding but there is a gallery up on my facebook page and a slideshow if anyone would like to head over there!  Thanks for looking everyone!

Coniston Hotel Wedding Photographer

We were fortunate to be in the Yorkshire Dales a few weeks ago to photograph the wedding of Jennie and Chris.  The ceremony was at a beautiful old church in Barnoldswick and the reception was at the Coniston Hotel near Skipton.  Jennie and Chris were a great couple to work with, very happy and very much in love.  We were most jealous of their safari honeymoon which sounded fantastic.

Denton Hall Wedding Photography

Another wedding at the marvellous Denton hall a few weeks ago, fast becoming one of our favourite venues.  We were photographing the beautiful wedding of James and Catherine.  We did some bridal prep at Catherine’s parents over in Knaresborough then headed to Denton Hall near Ilkley to get James and the guests heading to the lovely little church just in the grounds of Denton Hall.

Beautiful Wedding Photography

We were at Holdsworth House again a few weeks back, don’t seem to be away from the place at the moment, had a couple there this year already!  Our run of fantastic couples continued with Tracey and Neil, a really warm and friendly couple that we liked immediately (not that we don’t like all our couples!)

Sandburn Hall by Yorkshire Wedding Photographer

Quick blog post with a few images from Elizabeth and Edward’s fantastic wedding at Sandburn Hall, just outside York, North Yorkshire.  We have done quite a few weddings at Sandburn now, it’s a lovely venue with plenty of things to photograph both inside and out.  The main room upstairs is really great when the light is shining through the huge windows, which can throw a few challenges at you when taking the photographs but if done correctly it is a fabulous place to photograph.

White Wedding Photography

We were at Holdsworth House a few weeks ago for the beautiful white wedding of Jennie Rose and Paul.  The late snow fall seemed to catch everyone by surprise, not just because of how late in the year it was but the sheer amount.  Not sure if Holdsworth House is a bit higher up in the Pennines but we have never photographed a wedding with this much snow!

Leeds Town Hall Wedding Photographer

We were in Leeds just before Christmas covering a wedding at Leeds town Hall, with the reception to follow at the Radisson Blu Hotel.  Karen and Adam are a really great couple and I had been looking forward to their wedding since they booked me.  We did a few photos at the prewedding meeting which the couple had printed onto the cake which was pretty cool.  The whole day was filled with very personal touches like all the guests choosing a track for the wedding meal so the couple would always have a personalised wedding album to listen to which we thought was nice.

Wedding Photography Best of 2012

Just a quick post to show some of my favourite wedding photographs from 2012.  Not the driest of years in the UK but you can’t do anything about the weather!  I’ve photographed some absolutely fantastic weddings with really lovely couples this year and enjoyed every minute of it.  We’ve had some really touching thank you cards from clients which we are always grateful for.  Thank you everyone for a brilliant 2012 and we wish you all the best for 2013!
