We did some outdoor shots at the weekend as the sun was out (occasionally) and the oil seed rape was in full bloom, excellent when one of your subjects suffers from hay fever (I only found this out after). We did some posed shots in the studio but the outdoor ones were all pretty much off the cuff, I really liked this one, I thought the pose combined with the balloons was great.

I went for another '300' style processing effect in lightroom with the heavy vignette. This was my first outing with the 70-200 f/2.8 lense and I loved it. It was taken at f/4, 140mm, 1/1250 sec at ISO100. The large aperture and the long focal length made gave great background blur and I think the low angle (basically lying on the road) finished off the effect. It's always good when you don't get shot at by irate farmers!

Ultra Micro Nikkor Lens Sale

It's not really a photo tips post this it's more of a classified ad. I'm hoping it will appeal to any Nikon collectors or fanatics out there.
I have recently acquired (from a relative) an Ultra Micro Nikkor 135mm f4 lens, this is an ultra rare affair made (by hand) circa 1965. I'm trying to a) see what it's worth and b) see who wants to buy it. It was used in a printing factory that needed lenses to take photos of circuit boards I think, apparently it can resolve down to 2 microns (0.002mm) so it's some kind of super macro lens. I rear a review from a quirky Japanese collector that stated "the god of light lives in this lens" I thought that sounded great. Anyway there is a gallery here showing some more pics of this lens here, If you know anyone who might be interested just drop me an email, I've had a crazy response from nikonhistoricalsociety already which is good, I'd like it to go to a good home, me being a canon shooter have no need for such items
