Wedding Photography at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London

At the beginning of September we were down in London at the Institute of Contemporary Arts for the beautiful wedding of Caroline & Chris.  As with the wedding the day before, the bride and groom were friends of ours so we were there to take the photos but also as guests.  We were used to odd looks when we started taking on the free champagne, luckily we didn’t have enough for it to affect our abilities behind the camera (too much).

          Vintage Wedding Photography

Just a quick post today about vintage wedding photography.  Now and then I get clients requesting a few vintage type photos which I am more than happy to do as I love the style.  It has to be the right style of photo, but as there is a growing trend towards the DIY type wedding the vintage style of photography suits it well, hence it’s popularity.  So with that in mind I went and created a few vintage montages out of a recent wedding we did at the Mansion in roundhay park, Leeds.

Wedding Photography from the Parsonage Hotel near York

We had some fantastic weather when we did the photography for the wedding of Jade & John-Paul at the Parsonage country house hotel in Escrick near York.  Pretty much the whole month of April has been great weather for weddings, hopefully it will stay dry for the royal wedding tomorrow!  There were plenty of lively guests at this wedding and lots of kids running around which is always good to see.  Jade and JP had their little daughter Imogen as a flower girl, and a great job she did, took a nice photo too.  Both bride and groom were great folk, relaxed all day and really easy to get along with.  The speeches were done before the meal which I always think is a good idea, if only so the speech makers can enjoy their meals without worrying about being nervous.  The Parsonage was very nice with good grounds for photos.  Jade and JP even planted a tree which was nice to see, not often you see a bride carting around a wheel barrow!
