We recently covered the wedding of Stacey and Lee at the beautiful St John’s Church in Mirfield. I actually grew up in Mirfield and used to see this church quite a lot but this was our first wedding there. Stacey looked fantastic (as brides tend to do) we arrived at her parents house with plenty of time to do all the bridal prep shots and get a few photos of the girls in the garden. The bridesmaids all did a great job and Stacey’s daughter Ashlyn was great as a flower girl (and oddly as a glasses model). Lee was at the church welcoming guests, seemed very calm and everyone was eager for the arrival of the bride.
The ceremony was very nice, we had two weddings this weekend and both were the first weddings for the lady’s orchestrating it, I’d say vicars but I’m not 100% on clergy hierarchy, anyway they both did well and deserve a special mention. Unfortunately the nice morning turned into a bit of a rainy afternoon so we didn’t get a great deal of outdoor shots but everyone was in high spirits and it looked like they were having a good time. The vintage roller took the happy couple to Gomersal Lodge, stopping briefly to put the top up and let the couple ride up the drive on the side (again a new one on me). We got into the marquee, dried off the cameras and did a couple more group photos in there. Stacey and Lee were great in front of the camera and really relaxed throughout the day and the stress of the preceding week was soon forgotten. There were plenty of kids running round which is always nice to see, I’ll apologise ahead of time if the majority of the disposable camera shots (taken by the kids) are of the photographers!
Anyway I’ll put a few shots up now and get your DVDs out to you soon. Congratulations again from Carol and Myself and have a great time in Mexico!
