Wedding photography from the Wild Boar in Windermere
Recently we were doing some wedding photography from the Wild Boar in Windermere for a really lovely couple, Kathryn & Rob. I had met up with them both a few weeks before for the prewed meeting and knew we would have a great time photographing their wedding. The wedding ceremony was a short walk up from the Wild Boar at a tarn so everyone walked up through the woods in the glorious summer sun which was great.
A few guests arrived in a 4×4 used by the Wild Boar called the mad pig, Kath and her dad walked up and then the ceremony got underway. Readings and the service were great then we got into a few formal shots of close family and friends. A jet flew over just as the big group shot was going on which was pretty cool. We then went down to the tarn to get some relaxed shots of Rob and Kathryn (& the dogs!) before walking back to the Inn for a few ales! The couple were great fun and the walk back to the Wild boar was great, loads of spots to stop and get a few shots. The inn looked great, as did the food (special mention to Rob’s sister for doing the cake!) and there were prizes for the best wellies worn by the guests! Unfortunately Kathryn’s bridesmaid had broken her leg the day before but she had pimped up her crutches and was in high spirits as were all the other guests. We stayed for the speeches which were all good before heading off and wishing the couple all the best. I’ll put a small sample up here and on my FB page and have the DVDs sent straight out. Thanks for looking everyone and congratulations to Rob & Kathryn!
